I have been going to Blue Hour for years, but today it's received a reinvigoration of new talent from the kitchen to the bar. Their new food menu. Oh. Em. Gee. It is amazing! Featuring a new chef from no less than SPAGO, Blue Hour went from a 2 on food and a 10 on staff, to being an even steven 10 across the board. Their watermelon/tomato salad is KILLER! They kept the ever popular mahgarita pizza is still gracing their menu, along with the salmon tartare, but the rest has gotten a complete makeover. Take a new look at Blue Hour. You will not be disappointed.

I followed craft mixologist Art from Blue Hour to Tear Drop because of his uncanny ability to craft a cocktail, the cocktail that you want every time. I ask, "Art, make me something I will love." And Art makes me something I love, in a gorgeous glass. Perfection. Tear Drop's food is fantastic. Atmosphere is fantastic. At times it can be frustratingly packed, which makes me steer clear. I tend to like a bar when I can engage with people around me, but still have a seat at the bar where I can chat and watch the bar staff. Overall, Tear Drop is an amazing place, and their cocktails are second to none.

Jinx has come a long way. As sister bar to Vault Martini, it finally has its own identity including one of the most delicious menus I've ever encountered in or out of a bar. Their house made focaccia is MONEY. Bacon wrapped, blue cheese stuffed figs? YES. Pulled pork sandwich with blue slaw? AMAZING. Their burger... OFF the hook! Ahi Poke is a standard. PLUS, all of their meats are locally purveyed so you are getting the freshest of the fresh. Drinks are KILLER. My favorites other than their stellarly priced wine selection (and their new Rose') are the Charro and the Deer Hunter. But feel free to ask these mixologists to make you something that is not on the menu. The staff, especially Jillian, Kyle, Kate, and Amanda are amazing. The head chef Lars is happy to discuss the menu anytime and may even try some testing plates on you. You will not be disappointed. Atmosphere is great. It's very down home, more like being in your living room than in a bar. <3
