This retail shop is the perfect way to get an interesting perspective on the Asian culture. Serving as a giant warehouse for unique treasures, you get a sense of the distinct vibe, culture, and heritage of the million year old country right in downtown Portland. The owners have traveled all over Asia bringing back countless exotic items for Portland to feast their eyes on. By the time you enter the shop to the time you do a walk around the whole store it feels like you've been to every country of Asia. The feeling is very enamoring and a sense of wonder takes over. Highly recommend this shop. One of a kind and a true pleasure. I bought a photography book that I fell in love with. Although I wish I had more money to spend!! : )
The yogurt was very good. I usually get strawberries and mangos on my yogurt, which I highly recommend. The only negative view I have on Skinnidip is the lack of flavors they offer. There's only 4 flavors including the original. Most yogurt places that I have been to have at least 6 including a sweet flavor. These were all fruity. More variety attracts more people.
My experience at this Brewery was nothing short but lovely. I'm from San Francisco visiting Portland for the first time. My first impression was when our waitress offered me apples and peanut butter from the kids menu as a fruit side when they are really not supposed to do that. She said, "I'm not really supposed to do this for adults, but I'm a big believer in eating fruit so I'll make it happen!" After that, the experience was awesome. Everyone who works there has a very laid back personality, which allows you to not only enjoy the restaurant but the area you're in. We sat on the outside deck, which is open seating. It was very calm and quaint. The deck overlooks a street where the old railways and cobblestone roads used to be in the direction away from the middle of the Pearl. In this respect, the brewery offers a historic significance creating an old-fashioned architectural vibe. The area reminds me of exactly what you would see in the Greenwich district in New York. Overall, great experience. Food was great. Highly recommend!
The atmosphere was very inviting and friendly. Since the inside is intimate, it's a great place to mingle, meet people, spend a romantic night eating Italian, or all of the above. There are 2 stories inside. The upper deck is upper seating and the lower deck is seating w/a small bar and restroom in the corner. With an intimate restaurant comes an intimate menu. The food portions are pretty small, but somehow it manages to fill you up. The wine menu is pretty substantial and offers delicious selections. Great place overall and would recommend to anyone. Although, it may not be conducive for small children.
