The art was beautiful and the customer service made me want to return!
Just stopped in for some drinks while celebrating. Some of us had mixed drinks and some just beer. Prices were normal for this part of town. The place was pretty packed for a Thursday night. I think there were more men there than women. I'm used to the women outnumbering the men! Fun atmosphere, I'd go back if I were on that side of town.
I was super excited to try Trader Vic's. A girlfriend decided we would all meet there for dinner to celebrate her birthday. I think most of my disappointment was situational. The prices were higher than I was expecting, they were out of the one thing on the menu that I wanted to order, and all but one stall in the women's rest room was out of tp. Two of my friends could not read the menu because it was too dark, using the table candles to light their way to ordering. So I wasn't happy with the experience. On the positive side, the food was wonderful, the drinks tasty, and they provided a free regular menu dessert item for my friends birthday. I might try Trader Vic's again for lunch in the future. Maybe the lunch prices will be more to my liking, the light of day will allow us to read the menu, and the food and bathrooms might be stocked.
The BELT sandwich for lunch was well worth the slightly higher price compared to the other sandwiches on the menu! I loved the Bacon and the aioli sauce they used. They cook the egg over easy so if you don't like runny yolks make sure to order the egg cooked to your liking! My mocha was also good, but I did wish they had more flavorings. Worth going!!!
Outdoor seating on a great sunny day made my first experience at Paragon a 'happy' one! On the happy hour menu I tried the pork and black bean tostadas and the onion rings. I really loved the tostadas and would recommend them! The cold beer and people watching were a perfect summer late afternoon.
Loved the helpful service here! Also, they have great clothing for us active gals. I'd suggest Title Nine to others!
