| Food salty, overdone - 6/26/2011 | |

The restaurant ambiance is pleasant and in a good location. However, the food was not good. I ordered the felafel plate and the felafel was overcooked and had a salty aftertaste. The plate in included Baba Ghannouj which also tasted salty. The included salad was wilted and heavy with a dressing. I usually always clean my plate at a restaurant, but I did not finish this meal. |

Quality of the food was super good. I had the gyro plate. It came with fresh pita bread right from the custom oven. I could see it being made right in front of me. Cool to know that its that fresh! The only thing I thought that could be improved was the service, but that could be because it was new. A smile goes a long way. :-) |

We are so happy Shiraz opened up a location in the Pearl! We used to drive out to the Tigard location to eat. Try the felafel, such a brilliant mix of herbs and spices...i think they snuck some mint in the mix! the meat is lean, tender, and marinated. don't you dare leave without trying the homemade pistachio ice cream! |
