| Great environment, but 14 bones for a burger? - 5/30/2011 | |

I really liked the interior of deschutes... taking the old industrial building and turning it into something special. It's an amazing space inside and the food aint half bad either but I just don't see spending 14 bones for a burger and fries. |

Great place for getting a feel for The Pearl and Portland. The grilled pear and goat cheese flatbread( pizza) with arugula was great. The crust was thin and cooked just right, not burned. The severs were attentive without being overbearing. |

I arrived for lunch on a holiday and was told there would be a 30 minute wait but were given a table in about 15 minutes...the shorter wait was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the beet and walnut burger topped with goat cheese and greens. It was served with a side of sweet potato fries. The burger was a ingredients combination new to me. I enjoyed it and the sweet potato fries was a good accompaniment. The service was good and atmosphere, although in a cavernous space, still felt welcoming. Deschutes Brewery would be a good place for a large group. |
