...for book lovers. I used to live only 10 blocks away, and wanted to move in! Love, love, love their SF/fantasy section; best ever. Ditto the crafts section. Wonderful place to spend a day. Being able to trade in books for cash or store credit is also excellent. Simply not to be missed for any bibliophile. If you've never visited, do pick up a map at one of the info desks. You *will* need it.

No other way to put it - the best bookstore there is.

When I made my first visit to Powell's nearly ten years ago I was blown away. I was there again the other day and I still get the same wistful feeling when I walk in the door. If you need a book they either have it or can get it. Their rare books section is a bibliophiles wonderland and their customer service reps are the knowledgeable and friendly.

Always able to find what I need. If its not in the store, you can order it online. Cafe is a little too busy, but its a good place if you get there early.

Powell's books is simply amazing. It's always on a list of attractions, when I have family and friends visiting from out of town. Amazing used and new book inventory.

Going into Powell's is kind of like going to a Theme Park. So many different lands to explore. Get lost in it! :) ...
